Artist Bio or Résumé
I am from Brooklyn, but have lived in the Boston area for many years. I am a practicing Clinical Psychologist, currently working in private practice. I am a member of a number of local arts associations, including Salem Arts, Rockport Arts, and the Greater Lynn Photographic Association. My images have won numerous awards in local and regional competitions.
Artist Statement
My goal is to see things through the camera that might be otherwise missed, to see the familiar in new ways. I try to apply this perspective to a variety of genres of photography, including architecture, scenics, and people. I am especially enamored of black and white photography, as it allows the essestial aspect of a scene to emerge - line, light and shadow, composition, and, most importantly, emotion and feeling.
